Biography

Producer, musician and DJ from London, now based in the West Midlands. Son of [a=Paul Chue] and brother of [a=Leon Chue] and [a=Simon Chue] aka [a=S. Chu]. Wookie began his production career at [a=Jazzie B]'s [l=Soul II Soul Studios] in the mid-1990s. Switched from R&B to UK garage in the late 1990s when school friend [a=Johnny J (2)] brought him a Whitney Houston accappella ([Link]). Diversified into house music in the early 2000s with [Link], inspired by [a=Karizma] productions. Runs [l=Manchu Recordings] and [l=Lovestar Music]. The Wookie alias is taken from his surname's similarity to Chewbacca from the Star Wars franchise.
