Born July 17, 1932 in [url=https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lwów]Lwów[/url], died December 29, 2013 in Katowice. Polish pianist, composer of classical, religious, and film music. Knight of the [url=https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Order_Orła_Białego]Order Orła Białego[/url]. He belonged to the Polish avant-garde movement of the Sixties (together with Krzysztof Penderecki and Henryk Górecki) and was well known as a composer of film scores for more than 100 films in Poland, France, Germany, and Hollywood, working with directors such as Roman Polanski, Francis Ford Coppola, and Jane Campion.
