Biography
American rapper, songwriter, musician, producer, DJ, entrepreneur, actor, and TV personality. Born: 15 March 1975 in The Eastside, Los Angeles, California, USA. Adams is professionally known by his stage name Will I Am (often written "will.i.am", pronounced "Will I am"), coming to prominence in the late 1990s as a member of the hip hop group The [a79759]. Will.i.am has also released four solo albums, the first being "Lost Change" (2001) on Atlantic Records, an original soundtrack to the movie of the same name. A music video was made for the song, "I Am", however, no singles were released from the album. The second solo album "Must B 21" (2003) followed, with track seventeen on the release, "Go!", being regularly used as the theme for the NBA Live 2005 and Madden NFL 2005 seasons. A video for the track was also recorded for use within the sports, however, no singles were released from the album. Third album, "Songs About Girls" (2007) appeared with the first single released from the album being a club track titled "I Got It From My Mama" (2007) which peaked on the Billboard Hot 100 at #31 on the 17 August 2007. The album also featured singles "Heartbreaker" (2007) and "One More Chance" (2007). Will.i.am is also a music producer, and has produced with other major label artists including [a=Michael Jackson], [a=Justin Bieber], [a=Eazy-E], [a=Britney Spears], [a=U2], [a=Rihanna], [a=Usher], [a=Justin Timberlake], [a=Earth, Wind & Fire], [a=Nicki Minaj], [a=Cheryl Cole], [a=2NE1], [a=SMAP], [a=The Game (2)], [a=Nas], [a=Bone Thugs-n-Harmony], [a=Daddy Yankee], [a=Wolfgang Gartner], and [a=Juanes], et al. He has also been a coach on British TV talent contest show "The Voice" UK.
