Biography

West Coast rap legend from South Central, Los Angeles. Also referred to as "Dub". W.C. is the older brother of Mixtape Legend, [a=Crazy Toones]. W.C. made his debut as a beatboxer, for local groups like [a=The Organization] with [a=The Unknown DJ]. Later got his break in the music industry by [a=Ice-T]. Along with his (then) DJ, [a=DJ Aladdin], the two formed a duo group called [a=Low Profile] and signed a record contract with Priority Records in late 1988. Alongside their label mates, [a=N.W.A.]. W.C. is from the same neighborhood and grew up with [a=Ice Cube]. After the break up of [a=Low Profile], [a=Ice Cube] would later name Dub's new group, [a=WC and the Maad Circle]. The M.A.A.D. Circle consisted of W.C., [a=Crazy Toones], [a=Big Gee], and an unknown rapper from Compton named [a=Coolio]. [a=Coolio] left the group after the first album, to persue a solo career. W.C. then joined forces with [a=Ice Cube] and Inglewood rapper [a=Mack 10] to form [a=Westside Connection]. Unlike his past releases, Dub found commercial success with [a=Westside Connection]. Dub is constantly touring with his brother [a=Crazy Toones] and [a=Ice Cube]. He makes a brief appearance as the gunman in "Friday" movie. He appeared in "The Art of Rap" documentary by [a=Ice-T] and Dub now hosts his own radio show, "Dub's Corner". Honorable Mention W.C. features and rare joints: "The Big Beat" by [a=The Organization] "Think You Can Hang" by [a=Low Profile] from Rhyme Syndicate "Comin' Through" LP. "Color Blind" by [a=Ice Cube] "Quick Way Out" by [a=WC and the Maad Circle] from "Tresspass" OST (Original Soundtrack)

LYRICS

[CT] It's about that time nigga
[WC] For what?
[CT] Redo this motherfucker look I found it nigga
[WC] Ahh hell naw nigga!
[CT] Sheyitt
Now here we go, y'all gotta play this
Due to you bitch-ass niggaz I'ma maze this
rearranged funk and refreak the track
The Godfather of Underground Rap is back
Banged out the game as I ride with the Benji's
Fuck off the hook, nigga I'm off the fuckin hinges
No gimmicks, just a crew of driveby shooters
Coupe de Ville swoopers, looters and Stax loopers
I started off way back sick with a mentality
Wicked got down kickin it with the Syndicate
Just a lil' nigga seein ways to get paid
Levi cordueroy saggin with french braids
No overnight success, no tinted windows
No limos, just a hungry nigga doin demos
The year eighty-eight, the group was Low Pro
When niggaz used to swerve on Lincoln's and Vogues
Loc these niggaz ain't knowin about payin no dues, the shit I done been through
Gone through, put through, was bruised too so it's time to school these foes
Looka there, as I walk the rugged road of the path
I gets flashbacks, and thrash mash, enemies in my path
Hustler turn your page to nineteen eighty-nine
When a young nigga first signed the dotted line, I was
bang bang, boogie with the music
Took the old funk track, and relooped it
Dropped "Payin Dues" for a small amount of cheddar
The name of the LP was "We In This Together"

[beeper sounds repeatedly]

[CT] Awww shit, what the fuck why you sto
[WC] Man this motherfuckin pager keep goin off
Look I'm tired of these bitches!
[CT] Youse a cold nigga!

[DJ scratches] "Noooo shit!"
