Father of [a4826802] & brother of [a932844], [a8286840] & [a14820331]. Vern charted 22 times on the U.S. country charts as a songwriter and 41 tiimes as a singer between 1976-1999. As a singer he had 3 #1 songs, including " I Can Tell By the Way You Dance (You're Gonna Love Me Tonight)" (1984), "Set 'Em Up Joe" (1988), and "I'm Still Crazy" (1989) (the last 2 co-written by him).
