American funk group led by Earl J. Foster Jr. Producer Difosco T. "Big Dee" Ervin recruited Earl J. LYRICS

You ready to head out? You alright?
Yeah, I'm alright
This life try to turn me to a savage
And the Devil try to tell me that I'm average
And the pressure try to put me in a casket
I went diamond, 24 karat
This life try to turn me to a savage
And the Devil try to tell me that I'm average
And the pressure try to put me in a casket
I went diamond, 24 karat

I had some pain I was holding, I had to let it go (Go)
I seen some flowers were blooming, I had to let 'em grow (Grow)
I gotta show you she down, I gotta let it know
That I ain't goin' nowhere that she couldn't come alone (Alright)
I just took my time, I just followed the signs
Now they know my name, now they think my line
Can't buy my drip, made me one of a kind
Do you catch my dream? Couldn't block my shine
Now I'm floatin', like magic
I got Jesus, I ain't ever lackin'
Can't change up, stop askin'
Let's make a movie that we ain't gotta act in

This life try to turn me to a savage
And the Devil try to tell me that I'm average
And the pressure try to put me in a casket
I went diamond, 24 karat
This life try to turn me to a savage
And the Devil try to tell me that I'm average
And the pressure try to put me in a casket
I went diamond, 24 karat

I been to hell and back
I lost my path but it's all behind me
I'm strugglin' with my heart, I kept my scars, please, don't remind me
I put that first twenty down, you know I'm really committed, yeah
I pay any amount because the value's infinite
There ain't no turnin' back now
The whole community in it and I ain't 'bout to let 'em down with the nonsense
I've been down real bad but I'm up right quick
I've been layin' out flat but what's up now
I got pride that's stuck comin' off my lips
It's a whole new flex where I'm at now

This life try to turn me to a savage
And the Devil try to tell me that I'm average
And the pressure try to put me in a casket
I went diamond, 24 karat
This life try to turn me to a savage
And the Devil try to tell me that I'm average
And the pressure try to put me in a casket
I went diamond, 24 karat
This life try to turn me to a savage
And the Devil try to tell me that I'm average
And the pressure try to put me in a casket
I went diamond, 24 karat

I went diamond, 24 karat
I went diamond, 24 karat
I went diamond, 24 karat
I went diamond, 24 karat
