Toshifumi Hinata (born February 23 , 1955) is a Japanese composer and pianist. Toshifumi Hinata attended Berklee College of Music in Boston and graduated from the University of Minnesota-Duluth, where he studied under the tutelage of Patricia Laliberte. He lived in Surrey (England), Wisconsin, Minnesota and Massachusetts during the 70s and 80s. His career started upon graduation from university in 1982. He has composed music for numerous TV dramas, documentaries and commercials. He currently resides in Tokyo. His younger brother is the producer, arranger and keyboardist [a=Daisuke Hinata].
