American punk rock band from Garden Grove, California, formed in 1984. Originally called [a=Manic Subsidal], they began performing in 1984, composed of Bryan Holland (vocals, guitar), Greg Kriesel (bass, vocals) and James Frederick Lilja (drums). Changed their name to The Offspring in 1986.
