Biography
Project Subwave came to international attention in 2002, after their Bad Ambitions / Digital Symphony release on the British label Tech Itch Rec. Subwave was the first Russian drum and bass project to release a record on the cult [l=Moving Shadow], and later a solo album on [a=Goldie]'s [l=Metalheadz]. Also had releases on [l22976], Hospital, Invisible, Chronic, Microfunk, Data Music, [l1401], and many others. Prior to their Drum & Bass ambitions, Gleb and Alex worked on House and Breakbeat productions (before and after teaming up). Recently, Gleb has been moving away from the harder, darker sounds he started out with, towards more jump up and liquid tracks. Now Subwave is a solo (one man) project. As part of the duo Bop x Subwave, he became an exclusive artist of the British giant [l=Hospital Records]. The duo has released several high-profile EPs, singles and remixes. And in November 2022 - the full-length album [Link], which hit number 8 in the "UK Top 40 Dance Album Chart". Subwave is a permanent resident of the sensational Moscow series of underground drum and bass parties :data.
