Souls of Mischief are a hip-hop group from Oakland, California, formed in 1991 and affiliated with the [a=Hieroglyphics] collective. The lineup comprises [a=A-Plus] ([a=Adam Carter]), [a=Opio] ([a=Opio Lindsey]), [a=Phesto] aka Phesto Dee ([a=Damani Thompson]), and [a=Tajai] ([a=Tajai Massey]). Their breakthrough came with the debut album 93 ’til Infinity (Jive, 1993): the title track reached #72 on the Billboard Hot 100, while the album peaked at #85 on the Billboard 200 and #17 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums.
