Born November 1945, the son of [a=Milton Yakus] and nephew of [a=Herb Yakus], he is considered one of the best engineers and mixers in the music industry. Yakus' engineering work has sold in excess of one hundred million records. He started his career on October 10, 1967 at [l=A&R Studios] together with [a=Elliot Scheiner]. Yakus co-designed, equipped and operated [l=A&M Studios]. He was previously vice-president of [l=Record Plant, N.Y.C.] & [l=A&M Studios]. Chief engineer of [a=ProMaster HD by AfterMaster].
