Biography
Scott McKeon has given a lifetime of dedication to his craft as a guitarist and has developed a reputation as one of the UK’s most in-demand guitarists, both in the studio and performing live. Scott has been a member of Sir Tom Jones’ band for the last 6 years. Scott has also worked with Doyle Bramhall II, Eric Clapton, Van Morrison, Derek Trucks, Zigaboo Modeliste, Joe Bonamassa, Pino Palladino, David Ryan Harris, James Arthur, Emeli Sande, Shaun Esofrey, Troy Miller, Lana Del Ray, Andreya Triana, Ed Sheeran, John Illsley, Rebecca Ferguson and many more. Scott founded his own band, Rufus Black in 2017, with UK blues/soul singer Gavin Conder, UK guitarist & producer Ben Jones, and drummer Russ Parker. Their debut album, "Rise Up' was released the same year and was met with critical acclaim. In 2019, Scott joined Schiller one of Germany’s biggest electronic artists, for his ‘Morgenstund’ arena tour. Later that year, Scott joined guitarist and singer Doyle Bramhall II’s band for part of his European tour. In early 2020, Scott and long-time collaborator Ben Jones released an EP, ‘Volume One’, a predominantly instrumental record, sitting somewhere between all of their collective music influences. Scott is currently working on his third album, with producer Paul Stacey. You can also catch Scott performing live with his own ‘SuperJam’ group comprised of some of the UK’s top musicians.
