Reggae group from Ilford, England founded 1976. They recorded two singles under that name before renaming into [a=The Regulars] in 1979. ORIGINAL LINEUP Trevor Seal Salmon (Bass) Patrick Donegan (Rhythm Guitar) Norman Ebanks (Lead Guitar) Errol Francis (Drums) Alan King (Vocals) Tony Rookwood (Vocals) LINEUP (1979-1981 as The Regulars) George Clarke (Keyboards) Trevor Seal Salmon (Bass) Errol Francis(Drums) Norman Ebanks (Lead Guitar) Patrick Donegan (Rhythm Guitar & Backing Vocals) Allan King (Vocals) Anthony Rookwood (Vocals & Guitar) Errol Forrest (Percussion) Steve Gregory (Saxophone) Derek Wadsworth (Trombone) George Chisholm (Trumpet) In 1980, Byron Burrell (Bass), Errol Rookwood (Bongos) and Leroy Tyrell (Percussion) were part of the group. Following the 1981 breakup of The Regulars, the band has reunited twice: In 1982, the trio of Salmon, Francis and Donegan returning augmented by Clinton Clarke (Horns), Winston Salmon (Backing Vocals), Brian Campbell** (Keyboards), Winston Williams (Drums), and Neville Carnegie and Karl Atkins (Horns) using the original Reggae Regular name. It was that group that recorded [i]Ghetto Rock[/i] arguably their best critically received album. Then in 2010, Clarke, Donegan and Campbell were joined by Derek Demondo (Bass) and Patrick 'Dego' Johnson (Lead Vocals). The band now called itself Reggae Regular/The Regulars and their most recent album, 2011's [i]If Only[/i], released under that moniker.
