Biography

Rally was a humor program in Sweden's Radio P3, broadcast on Friday evenings between 1995 and December 27, 2002. The program leaders, sometimes called "Rallygänget", included Stefan Livh, Åsa Gustafsson, Anna Mannheimer, Peter Apelgren, Fredrik Wegraeus, Janne Palmén, Ulf Reneland, Henke Henriksson, Bengt Pettersson and Slađan Osmanagić. The most characteristic feature of the program was the new lyrics that many famous songs received. For example, Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean" became Rally's vintage "Billigt vin", Nanne Grönvalls "Avundsjuk" became "Fyllesjuk", Nordman's "Be mig" became "Bind mig" and "Fire Water Burn" with Bloodhound Gang became "Björn Motherfucker ", a song about tennis player Björn Borg. Also mentioned was Rally's version of Gyllene Tiders "Jag går och fiskar", which in their version became an S/M depiction called "Jag slår och smiskar". A special feature of the program was that song parodies often started with a spoken part that provided a context for the new text. These were played as a dialogue between the recording and the live program leader. Many songs were performed by imaginary alter ego personas, such as: Väder-Annika (by Anna Mannheimer) Sara (by Anna Mannheimer), a parody of Zarah Leander Leif "Lotus" Olsson (by Peter Apelgren), a parody of Leif ”Loket” Olsson Stojan (by Slađan Osmanagić), Gundeman, a parody of Gunde Svan Anne-Maj Wilkinson (by Mikael Ivarsson) They also broadcasted mashups mixed by Jocke Boberg.
