His father, US folk singer [a=Jo Banks] ran a coffee house in Copenhagen that from the mid 60's was central in bringing american folk music and americana to Denmark and where the young Paul Banks used to hang out with visiting musicians. Paul Banks plays various kinds of music, mostly folk-blues and americana.
