New York City hip-hop collective formed in 1991 by [a=MF Grimm] and [a=MF DOOM], included producer/rapper [url=https://www.discogs.com/artist/103226]X-Ray[/url], among numerous other NYC MCs. "Monsta Island (Many Other Nations Striving Towards Awareness In Self Love And New Developments) was an Island on the planet Earth that split into 7 separate land masses some time ago in Earth's history. Some of which are still inhabited by a group of very talented artists ranging from MC's, DJ's, producers, and vocalists to graffiti writers and break dancers collectively known as M.I.C. (MONSTA ISLAND CZARS). Each a master of their own realm not bound by any hierarchy or leader/follower systems. Some influenced by ancient spiritual civilizations, others by magnetic waves generated by computers at the hand of extraterrestrial beings. With members ranging from an android able to reach heights from 1.8 to 50 meters to a three headed dragon weighing in at 70,000 tons and capable of reaching speeds of up to mach-4, It is presently unknown how many monsters there are as more and more seem to appear as time passes. Though at times they are known to battle even each other, they all have one enemy in common. Leviathan the dragon. a most cunning creature. At times siding with humans, at others, set on destroying them."
