Modern Life Is War (commonly abbreviated as M.L.I.W.), is a Marshalltown, Iowa-based melodic hardcore punk band. The band released three full-length albums and one self-titled 7" E.P. In mid 2005, after the release of [Link], guitarist [a=Matt Hoffman] and bassist [a=Chris Honeck] left the band. They were replaced by [a=Sjarm 13] and [a=Tim Churchman (2)], respectively. On February 9, 2007, M.L.I.W. announced that they had inked a record deal with [l33333]. The band's final album, [Link], was released on August 21, 2007.
