Soul singer - songwriter - pianist - arranger Born: January 1, 1956, Torrance, California, U.S.A. Died: March 13, 2019, California, U.S.A. Pancreatic cancer. Based in Los Angeles, California, he contributed in the seminal [a=Stevie Wonder]'s album [url=https://www.discogs.com/Stevie-Wonder-Songs-In-The-Key-Of-Life/release/266650]"Songs In The Key Of Life"[/url] and went on to participate in [a=7th Wonder]'s and [a=Natalie Cole] albums. He signed at [l=RCA] in 1980 and he released three albums between 1981 - 1983, collaborating with such producers as [a=Steve Tyrell] on his debut and [a=Webster Lewis]. His biggest crossover hit was the classic 1982 single [url=https://www.discogs.com/Michael-Wycoff-Looking-Up-To-You-Love-Is-So-Easy/release/1879903]"Looking Up To You"[/url] that was sampled in [a= Zhané]'s 1993 smash [url=https://www.discogs.com/Zhan%C3%A9-Hey-Mr-DJ/release/75234]"Hey Mr. DJ"[/url]. He has also duetted with [a=Evelyn King] and [a=Merry Clayton]. He went on contributing as a guest musician in [a=The Winans], [a=Bobby Womack] and [a=Peabo Bryson] releases.
