Biography

American trumpeter and composer. Best known for a long stint in Sun Ra's Arkestra from 1978 till 1992. Ray has also played trumpet for Kool & The Gang, Patti LaBelle, The Delfonics, The Stylistics, and Phish. He currently leads his own New Orleans funk/jazz group, Michael Ray & the Cosmic Krewe.
