Jamaican reggae singer and songwriter & producer. Born: November 22, 1944 in St. D'Acre, St. Ann, Jamaica Passed away: April 11, 2025 Founded a vocal trio arround 1967, [a646367] then, after that, became part of [a375570] and going solo for the rest fo his long career. He ran [l419959], [l27621] & [l244900] labels Had a UK hit in 1969 with '[Link]' and worked extensively with producers [a=Bunny Lee] in the late '60s, [a=Winston 'Niney' Holness] early '70s and [a=Lee Perry] mid '70s. Also recorded for [a=Bullwackie] in the 1980s when he live in New York. His song ‘[Link]’ was sampled and used by many artists including [a=The Prodigy], [a21742] and [a3043149]. He passed away of heart complications in a hospital in Saint Andrew Parish, Jamaica at the age of 80 on 11 April 2025.
