Colombian singer and accordionist born on September 26, 1937, at Los Palmitos in Sucre, Colombia. Died december 23-2023, at Sincelejo, Colombia. Played an important role in the evolution of Cumbia, the traditional big band dance music of Colombia. In 1961 joined [b]Los Corraleros de Majagual[/b] then was change as [b]Lisandro Meza Y Su Combo[/b]. In 1967 he renamed his group as [b]Lisandro Meza y Su Conjunto[/b]. In 1979 he established his band [b]Los Hijos De La Niña Luz[/b] where it included himself & his seven sons. In 1957 he married Luz Maria Dominguez ([b]La Niña Luz[/b]).
