Biography
Canadian singer-songwriter. Born in Timmins, Ontario as Valerie Anne Poxleitner on April 11, 1987. Married to [a3886546]. Guitarist of metal band Shovel Face during high school, before launching her solo career in 2008. Her music draws influences from electropop, synthpop and indietronica. She has won several awards, including two Juno Awards for her 2014 and 2016 albums; the others receiving nominations. New Artist of the Year was also awarded to her in 2009.
