Biography
Singer and songwriter (born 12 August 1943 in Stockton-on-Tees, England - died 12 March 2010 in Scotland on the Isle of Mull). Sister of the songwriter [a=Jimmy Duncan]. Active from the 1960s well into the 1980s, she recorded several solo releases and sang backing vocals on numerous albums. As a songwriter she was best known for [i]Love Song[/i], recorded by [a=Elton John] in 1970. Duncan famously contributed backing vocals to one of the top selling albums of all time, [a=Pink Floyd]'s 1973 release The Dark Side of the Moon, which was engineered by Alan Parsons. Later, in 1979, she again worked with Parsons, singing lead vocals on the song "If I Could Change Your Mind" for the Alan Parsons Project album Eve, in her final album appearance. Lesley Duncan was married to [a=Jimmy Horowitz], then to [a=Tony Cox].
