Kate Miller-Heidke, born on the 16th of November 1981, is a singer-songwriter from Brisbane, QLD, Australia. Although classically trained, she has followed a career path in alternative pop music. Her record label in Australia was Sony Music until 2013 when she became an independent artist. The band consists of Kate Miller-Heidke (vocals, piano & keyboards), her partner/husband Keir Nuttall (guitar & backing vocals), Ben McCarthy (bass, synthesizers & backing vocals), Steve Pope (drums & percussion) and at times featuring Sallie Campbell (violin & backing vocals).
