Brazilian singer/songwriter, guitarist, artist, and producer. Born: 10 June 1931 in Juazeiro, Bahia, Brazil. Died: 6 July 2019 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (aged 88). Gilberto created a mixture of American jazz and Brazilian samba, which was later called "bossa nova".
