Grammy Award winning American jazz guitarist and composer, born December 26th, 1951 in Dayton, Ohio. He recorded and played with [a=Gerry Mulligan] and [a=Chet Baker], was a member of [a=The Billy Cobham / George Duke Band] for two years, recorded with [a=Charles Mingus] and joined the [a=Gary Burton Quartet], before touring and recording with [a=Miles Davis]. Married to [a=Susan Scofield] since 1978 with whom they became parents of [a=Jean Scofield] and Evan Scofield (1987-2013).
