Biography
US guitarist, born 1960 in Rock Island, IL, after moved to Minneapolis, MN in 1981, he became a major player with the band The Time. When the band split, Johnson gained both commercial success and critical acclaim fronting his own group, Jesse Johnson's Revue. Although the group only recorded one album as the Revue, Johnson continued recording under his own name and the majority of the members of the Revue contributed to Johnson's subsequent solo albums. Johnson also enjoyed considerable success writing and producing work for artists as diverse as [a=Cheryl Lynn], [a=Ta Mara & The Seen], [a=dáKRASH] and [a=Janet Jackson], amongst others.
