Biography

Australian band, originally formed in 1977 as [a424148] and sounding very much like Roxy Music, the band started by playing covers of the latter together with T-Rex, David Bowie and the like... The first album Icehouse was released under the moniker of Flowers. On signing to Chrysalis Records in 1981, the band changed their name to the more familiar Icehouse (named after the first album) due to potential legal issues with another band also named Flowers.

LYRICS

When everything goes wrong,
Sometimes it makes no sense.
There once was a time.
I should have known better then.
Although you may try,
It won't come your way again.

Hey, little girl,
Where will you hide?
Who can you run to now?
Hey, little girl,
Where will you go?
Who can you turn to now?

So why should I care
If somebody let you down?
Um, that's nothing new.
I know just what that can mean.
Well, the way that they talk,
The talk is all over town.
And it's no surprise
Little girls hurt sometimes.

Hey, little girl,
Where will you hide?
Who can you run to now?
Hey, little girl,
Where will you go?
Who can you turn to now?
(Who can you turn to now?)

When everything goes wrong,
Sometimes it makes no sense.
Hey, little girl,
You should have known better,
Have known better then.

Hey, little girl,
Where will you hide?
Who can you run to now?

Hey, little girl,
Where will you hide?
(Hide)
Who can you run to now?
(Who can you run to now?)
Hey, little girl,
(Little girl)
Where will you go?
(Will you go?)
Who can you turn to now?
(Who can you turn to now?)
