Biography

German pianist, composer, conductor, arranger, producer and music publisher. Born on March 11th 1926 in Nuremberg, Germany, died on December 27th, 2003 in Starnberg, Germany. Started as a pianist and arranger for [a=Kurt Edelhagen] and worked for SWF in Baden-Baden. After arranging and conducting several albums with a southern flair for large string orchestra in the USA in the early 1960s, he co-founded [l837450] in 1964, together with [a839350] and publisher Hans Gerig. Co-founded the [l520956] Library in the early 1970s, together with his future wife and former singer [a475563]. Famous especially for his instrumental works and his compositions for television, for instance for the shows with [a457281] and television producer [a3538793]. His composition Temptation Sensation (aka Haute Couture) is the theme tune for the live action sitcom It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia.
