Argentine musician, composer and producer, born 19 August 1951 in Buenos Aires. Santaolalla is best known for his work of composing and performing scores for films, television series and video games. He has received two Academy Awards for Best Original Score, for Brokeback Mountain (2005) and Babel (2006). Co-founder and president of [l=Surco] / [l=Surco Records J.V.]
