Biography
Grimes Adhesif has been playing and producing electronic music since the 90s, and has been a committed record collector ever since his teenage years. For Grimes, it all began when he started soaking up the new, futuristic sounds of BleepʼnʼBass and hip-hop records coming out of the UK in the late 80s and early 90s. He then went on to play for a wealth of party crews and club promoters from around the UK, Europe and North America throughout the 90s & 00s. His deep roots in the ephemeral early 90s rave experience still informs his fiercely underground/ independent/DIY ethos to this day. Also a resident at the legendary institution that is Freerotation, Grimes has been part of the festival crew from its very inception back in 2007. Having worked with other respected labels including, Greta Cottage Workshop, Naïf, and with new forthcoming releases itching to be released on his label mindyourhead, Grimes is currently focussed on his studio work and making music specifically for his live shows.
