Biography

American grunge band from Phoenix, AZ. Known as the early band of [a241527]. Initially formed in 1993 as the Lovelies Bleeding. After the breakup of [a1895883], Sean met Jonathan Krause and decided to form a band. After finding a guitarist they struggled to find a suitable singer until it was suggested they ask Chester Bennington to return. The band played local shows through 1994 and in October of that year released their debut album, Wake Me. It was moderately successful locally, and combined with a constant live presence the band steadily grew in popularity in the Phoenix area, eventually selling our 2000+ capacity venues as headliners and opening for larger bands such as Bush and Suicidal Tendencies. In 1997, after their label ran out of money and shelved the first iteration of the album, they released ...No Sun Today, their final album in the band's initial incarnation. In 1998 the band traveled to California to tour, including showcases for label executives. At this point they failed to secure a record deal, and frustrations with the state of the band led Chester Bennington and Mace Beyers to leave the band. Sean Dowdell and Bobby Benish went on to form [@2900656]. In 2002 Bobby Benish was diagnosed with a brain tumor. The band had intended to play a reunion show to fundraise for his treatment, but Chester was pulled back to the studio by Warner Bros and the show was cancelled, never to be rescheduled. Sean Dowdell had worked on a re-mixed version of ...No Sun Today with a similar intent, to be released in 2003 via Artemis Records. However, this was blocked by Warner Bros. In 2017 the band had planned to play a reunion show and re-record some of their old material, but this was put on hold when Chester passed in July. In 2020 the band released Amends, featuring 11 songs with re-written and re-recorded instrumentals accompanied by Chester's original (albeit edited) vocal takes. This was followed in 2022 by The Phoenix, and in 2023 they announced Cris Hodges has joined them for a number of live shows. In 2025 they began releasing new music featuring Cris.

LYRICS

I'm a whore.,. and I'm feeling sorry for myself
In your arms I am drowning like the child I was
I need more can you help me?
Feed my sins, come and kill me
It's calling,calling,calling,calling me

Endless skies falling freely down upon my head
So much for hopeless dreaming frustration settles in
