Biography

Good Luck is a pop-punk band from Bloomington, Indiana. The band is composed of three members: Ginger Alford, Matt Tobey and Mike Harpring. The band released two studio albums, Into Lake Griffy in 2008 and Without Hesitation in 2011, along with an EP in 2010. The band was no longer actively touring or producing new music, although the band's social media pages are maintained and updated with occasional performances and information on other projects worked on by band members. However in 2024, they reformed and in 2025 they announced their third studio album, Big Dreams, Mister.

LYRICS

when you're asleep I hear your breath
the proof of living in your chest
it is the fact that you are here
it is the proof that you are here.
sun should just be done
no talk, just use our lungs
brains that your dad said you had
you lost 'em
terrified of our potential
and all the ways we might fail to meet it

but (..?) we are all the same
we want to sleep with no bad dreams
in our own bed with heat
from somebody who won't keep me awake

the simplest fact is still the one
that we'll remember when we're done.

the last thing i hope i forget
when everything else starts to slip
is sleeping over your parents' bedroom
we turned eighteen not long ago.
the open window, it made it so cold,
but you shut it and then came back to bed.

but (..?) we are all the same
we want to sleep with no bad dreams
in our own bed with heat
from somebody who won't keep me awake

nothing ? nothing gained
it's the shortest way to stay safe.

...we help each other,
so lay next to me tonight,
though i may not be satisfied
i will stay by your side
and be company till the morning light.
