Biography

(b. 1929, New York, NY - March 13, 2022 ) American graphic designer, artist, photographer. Born Frances Settelle. 1st husband [a=Tony Scott (2)] (c.1950-1960.) Later married to [a=William Attaway]. Fran was an internationally known fine artist, graphic, interior and landscape designer. She worked most notably as the inhouse artist with Verve Records in NYC. Close friends included Harry & Julie Belafonte and family, the late Sidney Poitier, Billie Holiday, Charlie Parker, Quincy Jones and Creed Taylor.
