Biography
Colombian DJ selector & music lover born 1962 in Medellín and based in Bogotá becoming ones of pioneers in Electronic DJing scene in Colombia since 1988 known as '[i]El Abuelo[/i]' or '[i]Maestro[/i]'; His sets was usually oriented in Disco, New Wave, 80's hits and House classic mainly in 12" vinyl. In 1992 he founded [i]Deejays Skool[/i] with collaboration of [a=DJ Wady], [a=Mathaeux] and others partners being the first academy for DJs in Colombia and established [i]Megastore[/i], the first store specially in equipments and accessories for DJ's; Later between 1994 to 1997 he become as label manager and discographic promoter by [l=ToCo International] for Colombia through of [l=Sonolux] label. During 1992 until 2016 he was directing a weekend live radio show in vinyl sets named [i]Megamix[/i] (so until 1997) and later named as [i]Zona X[/i] broadcasted at [url=https://www.laxmasmusica.com]La X[/url] radio station also between 1992 to 1994 he was directing [i]Dance Box[/i] broadcasted at [i]Radioactiva[/i] radio station. He passed away from cancer on morning in March 28, 2020 in Bogotá, Colombia.
