Biography
North American guitarist. Amaro developed a prolific association with Flora Purim & Airto Moreira during the fusion heyday in the 70s. He also recorded with Sonny Rollins, Wayne Shorter, Cal Tjader, Hermeto Pascoal, the OPA trio, and became a member of Sergio Mendes' Brasil 77 group. Curiously, he never released a solo album. He is married to singer [a389860].
