Biography

Hair / Glam Metal (Heavy Metal) band from Queens, New York, Philadelphia (USA). Danger Danger was formed in 1987 by ex-White Lion bassist Bruno Ravel and drummer Steve West, with Mike Pont on vocals, keyboardist Kasey Smith and Al Pitrelli on guitar, and with this line-up they played live and recorded a demo with songs that ended up on the debut album: "Naughty Naughty", "Don't Blame It On Love" and "Rock America". The same year, Pont was replaced on vocals by former Prophet drummer Ted Poley, and Pitrelli left to join Alice Cooper's band in 1989 to be replaced first by Tony Bruno and then Andy Timmons completed the line-up for their 1989 debut album.

LYRICS

Well I was born on the wrong side 'a' town
My momma said "Son, don't let it bring ya down"
You gotta do whatcha can with the stuff tha ya got
You gotta push! push! 'Till you get your shot
You work hard from 9-5
Tax man leaves ya just enuff to survive
So when you feel like you're under the gun
That's when it's time to start havin' some fun

(Chorus):
Come on, come on
You gotta live it up
Come on, come on
You gotta live it up

When the world starts bringin' ya down
And you're in so deep you think you'll never get out
You gotta step back, take a look at yourself
You ain't gonna find it in a wishing well

You play hard, you play to win
Sooner or later, you gotta give in
Cause you don't get nothin' for free
But here's a little lesson you can take from me

(Chorus)

You play hard, you play to win
Sooner or later, you gotta give in
Cause you don't get nothin' for free
But here's a little lesson you can take from me

(Chorus)
