Biography
Swedish songwriter, singer and guitarist, born June 21, 1954 in Malmö. He has collaborated with Py Bäckman and via the duo's joint backing band Raj Montana Band. The commercial breakthrough came in the early 1980s. In recent years, he has made a solo career with newly formed backing bands, in addition to occasional reunions of the Raj Montana Band. Raj Montana Band was reunited again in 2017. In 1984, Hylander received Rockbjörnen as the best male artist of the year. The year before, he, Py Bäckman and Raj Montana Band had been awarded as best Swedish band. In the years 2007–2015, Dan Hylander has largely lived in Bolivia with his family, but chose in early 2016 to return to Sweden.
