Biography
American singer, rapper and songwriter, born March 28, 2005, based in Houston, USA. Known for his Billboard charting songs "Here With Me" and "Romantic Homicide", David (d4vd) started out as a professional Fortnite content creator. He would often times use copyrighted music during his montages and while he was making money off of it, it was short-lived soon after UMG started copyright striking his videos, removing his ability to make money off of these videos. Soon after, David had told his mother about it asking for a solution, his mother who was on the phone at the time brushed him off with a few words that would eventually change his life, "Go make your own music." After that, David searched up "how to make music on an iPhone", He had found the famous music making app Bandlab. He quickly went to work making his first song, "Run Away", in his little sister's closet singing into his apple headphones microphone, uploading it to soundcloud and quickly getting many plays. A short amount of time passes and he makes and releases "You And I" which had been his second song and started to gain the most traction at the time, eventually taking over "Run Away" with various people in the Fortnite community using his song which he had made specifically for this purpose. Posting on the social media app TikTok under a different name, David would show his talent trying to keep a running joke where he's supposed to be Alvin from the Alvin and The Chipmunks franchise. During this time he would post sped up versions of his own covers until one day he posted an early sped up snippet of his song "Here With Me" with the caption reading "500 likes and i'll drop the original version lol". The video quickly blew up with his followers and led to him releasing the song. Before "Here With Me", David had worked on "Romantic Homicide" first but wasn't happy with the song and had made "Here With Me" in an effort to get something out that he also enjoyed for himself. David then posted a snippet of "Romantic Homicide" on TikTok as well and fans were eager for him to release the song. David releases the songs and both of them grow at the same time and are now sitting at over 1 Billion streams each on Spotify alone. David quickly gets signed to Interscope Records and begins work on his first major release, the Petals To Thorns EP. Fast forward to now and David is playing sold out shows, touring worldwide, making TV appearances, and still playing Fortnite professionally. On April 25, 2025, David released his debut album "WITHERED".
