Biography
[a=Robert Frazier], known professionally as Chill Rob G, was born on May 15, 1964, in Jersey City, New Jersey. He was an original member of [a=The Flavor Unit], a hip-hop collective that included artists like [a=The 45 King], [a=Queen Latifah], and [a=Lakim Shabazz]. In 1989, he released his debut album, "Ride the Rhythm," under [l=Wild Pitch Records], which was later recognized by The Source magazine as one of the 100 Best Rap Albums. Chill Rob G's track "The Power" gained international attention when the German group [a=Snap!] used his vocals without authorization in their version of the song, leading to legal disputes over the track's rights. After a period away from the music scene, he returned in 2022 with the album "Empire Crumbles," marking a new chapter in his career. Chill Rob G remains a respected figure in hip-hop, known for his distinctive voice and contributions to the genre's golden era.
