Biography
Jason Herrboldt (Caspian) was introduced to drum and bass back in '93. His world changed in '94 when he heard a track by Money and Dubtronics called "Jungle Jazz." Jazz has been his love ever since. Caspian then bought his first sampler and started cranking out tunes, heavily influenced by the sounds of the intelligence movement of the mid-'90s. In '97, aged 24, he independently released a debut single under the name Wix, and was signed to Cosmic Flux in the fall of '98. His inspirations include Lemon D, LTJ Bukem, DJ Pulse, Roni Size, and Herbie Hancock, to Danny Breaks, Artemis, and EZ Rollers.
