English indie rock band founded in 1988 in London by singer Jim "Jim Bob" Morrison and guitarist Les "Fruitbat" Carter from the ashes of [a1092004]. In 2014, Carter USM reconvened for its final performances. On November 22nd that year, the last show was played at [l296310]. Often introduced at concerts as "The best kick arse Rock 'n' Roll band in the whole god damn world".
