Biography

German Synth-pop band from Bietigheim-Bissingen. The four friends Heiko Maile, Oliver Kreyssig, Marcus Meyn and Martin Kähling (who left the band in 1984) founded the band "Lizenenced Technology" in 1983. Drawing on inspiration from the song of the same name by the Japanese group "[a22061]," the band changed their name to "Camouflage." The first local live appearance took place in 1984. One year later they recorded two demo cassettes in their studio and sent these cassettes to several record companies. In 1986 one of these tapes was submitted for a talent search conducted by the Hessischen Rundfunk (Hessen Radio). Camouflage was awarded the first place and the small Frankfurt record label "Westside" became aware of the band. The song "The Great Commandment," was reworked, newly recorded and presented to the larger record companies. Suddenly several firms expressed interest and after careful consideration the band signed with [l5870].

LYRICS

All these words are not a rescue in my eyes
Never sure about the love deep in your smile
Never sure if I'm right or if I'm wrong.
Never sure about the things which were going on and on
All this love just while you were standing near to me
Never sure about the time you spent with me
I can't stand the way you deal with friends of mine
Never sure if love's not just a waste of time.
All these words I try to find to say to you
I can't stand the thousand dreams I dream of you,
While you stand beside me,
While you move into my arms.
