Biography

German Synth-pop band from Bietigheim-Bissingen. The four friends Heiko Maile, Oliver Kreyssig, Marcus Meyn and Martin Kähling (who left the band in 1984) founded the band "Lizenenced Technology" in 1983. Drawing on inspiration from the song of the same name by the Japanese group "[a22061]," the band changed their name to "Camouflage." The first local live appearance took place in 1984. One year later they recorded two demo cassettes in their studio and sent these cassettes to several record companies. In 1986 one of these tapes was submitted for a talent search conducted by the Hessischen Rundfunk (Hessen Radio). Camouflage was awarded the first place and the small Frankfurt record label "Westside" became aware of the band. The song "The Great Commandment," was reworked, newly recorded and presented to the larger record companies. Suddenly several firms expressed interest and after careful consideration the band signed with [l5870].

LYRICS

Little one, I'll blind you with charm, I feed you with pleasing things, you'll see, I'll make you believe, before you life was boring. For a while, I meticulously try, to be the way you want me. But you'll see, I always believe, nothing in life's for free. I can stand looking in your eyes, to turn around and start smiling, feel the pressure rise, you may hide, but it's far too late and you need to face the element of crime. Time reveals the harm, you awake, but it's far too late, then you need to face the element of crime. Little one, I'm planted in your brain, to guide you the way I like. My plea, for total relief, brought you to your kneew. Now I'm through, the things that you knew, and all you could give to me. Time has come for me to carry on, cause there's someone new com'n for tea.
