Biography

BURN formed in 1980 in Vevey, Switzerland. Rehersals would take place in the quaint village of Saint Gingolph, best known for its picturesque location on lake geneva and white wine production. The band was formed by Thierry "Nounours" Denervau (Bass), Marcel Heinen (lead guitar), Olivier Coderay (vocals and rhythm guitar). The original drummer (name forgotten) was fired for being too distracted by an overbearing girlfriend and replaced by Patrick Vodoz soon before the recording of their single in 1982. After Patrick Vodoz's death in a earth moving equipment accident, the band dissolved and all went their own way. The band recorded their single at Mountain Recording Studios in nearby Montreux with none other than [a=David Richards] as engineer, who had worked with Iggy Pop, Queen, David Bowie and numerous others.
