Biography

US soul group from Montgomery, Alabama, re-formed in 1961. Originally formed in 1952 in Fort Benning, Georgia. The Rhythm Aces supported singers like Etta James, Kim Weston, Wilson Pickett, Sam Cooke and Otis Redding. Members: [b]Bobby Moore[/b] (tenor sax), [b]Larry Moore[/b] (alto sax), [b]Chico Jenkins[/b] (vocals, guitar), [b]Marion Sledge[/b] (guitar), [b]Joe Frank[/b] (bass), [b]Clifford Laws[/b] (organ) and [b]John Baldwin Jr[/b] (drums). [b]Chuck Strong[/b] replaced [b]Jenkins[/b] as lead vocalist in 1976 and was lead singer on [i]Dedication Of Love[/i] album.
