American Country singer and songwriter Married to [a2319783] and father of the musician [a=Bobby Bare Jr.] Inducted in the Country Music Hall of Fame (2013). Born April 7, 1935 in Ironton, Ohio. Recorded the song "The All American Boy" which hit #2 on the Pop charts in 1959, credited to the song's co-writer Bill Parsons. Served in the U.S.Army from 1958-61. Acted in the movie A Distant Trumpet. Hosted TNN's "Bobby Bare and Friends".
