Big Daddy Kane, born Antonio Monterio Hardy on September 10, 1968, in Brooklyn, New York, is a pioneering MC known for his smooth delivery, intricate lyricism, and charismatic stage presence. His moniker is often associated with the backronym "King Asiatic Nobody's Equal." The name "Kane" was inspired by the character from the TV show Kung Fu, while "Big Daddy" came from Vincent Price’s character in the film Beach Party.
