Biography
American musician best known as a singer, bassist and co-founder of the rock band [a143225]. Born September 8, 1947 in Cleveland, Ohio, USA - died October 4, 2000 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. He provided about half the lead vocals including some of the band's biggest hits like “Just What I Needed”, which was their first Top 40 hit, “Let’s Go” and "Drive", their highest charting single which peaked at #3 on the US Pop charts. In 1986, Ben released a solo album titled [i]The Lace[/i], which spawned the Top 40 hit "Stay The Night". In the mid 90’s he wrote and recorded seven tracks with guitarist [url=https://www.discogs.com/artist/1278135-John-Kalishes]John Kalishes[/url] for an unreleased follow up to [i]The Lace[/i]. From 1998 until his death in 2000 Ben toured with his own band ORR, Voices of Classic Rock, and Big People.
