Biography

Barcelona (Washington DC 1998-2002) was an indie pop band that incorporated elements of new wave and geeky subject matters to their songs. Consisting of [a=Jason Korzen], [a=Jennifer Carr], [a=Ivan Ramiscal], and [a=Christian Scanniello], Barcelona was formed in 1998 by Korzen and Carr. Later that year, the group met producer/engineer [a=Trevor Kampmann] (also known as [a=Trevor HollAnd]) and began work on their first LP, [Link]. The band signed to [l=March Records]. Shortly after their third album's ([Link]) release, the band played their final show at The Metro Cafe in Washington, DC in February 2002. [a=Jason Korzen] formed [b]Sprites[/b] with his wife Amy. Both Scanniello and Ramiscal have contributed to the project. [a=Ivan Ramiscal] formed [a=The Positions].
